No one can give us more joy or more heartbreak than our children. From the moment they are born they fill our hearts with love and our lives with purpose. No matter how old they become; they will always be our children.

The Bible speaks of those who are born into the family of God through faith. Galatians 3:26 says “So in Christ Jesus you are all children of God through faith.” Paul is writing to believers in Galatia. The churches in this part of the world were founded by Paul. When Paul left, the churches were led astray from Paul’s teachings about salvation by grace through faith alone. So Paul writes to them to remind them that no matter what their background – Jew or Greek, slave or free, man or woman – they had all become the children of God through faith in Jesus Christ.

This is the heart of the Gospel. God has a family. It consists of men and women from every nation, tribe and tongue, who have been born again by faith in Jesus Christ. Paul was concerned that these children were being caught up in legalism and losing the freedom that Jesus had died to provide. He loves us deeply and wants us to live in the liberty that He continues to provide by grace, each and every day. Are you a child of God by faith in Jesus Christ?
